Each message begins with Scripture, not opinion. The verse sets the authority for the whole devotional.
Narrator honor · a father's voice remembered
By God's Call is being prepared with a carefully cloned voice of Jose Antero Oliveira, known to his family as Antero.
Antero was a devoted father and a dedicated man. He went to be with the Lord in 2026, and with humility, love, and care, his son and the creator of this work chose to honor him by carrying his voice into the By God's Call Podcast and Pray Then Act Daily Messages.
This is a son's quiet tribute: a way to let a beloved father's voice serve Scripture, prayer, and obedience with tenderness and reverence.
Today · Day 222 · Monday, August 10
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."ISAIAH 9:6
Each message begins with Scripture, not opinion. The verse sets the authority for the whole devotional.
The message opens the text with warmth and conviction in a daily spoken episode you can hear and share.
Every episode lands on one concrete step. Faith is heard, then practiced in the day ahead.
Today's call, opened up
This promise arrives right after Isaiah speaks of a people walking in darkness who saw a great light. Messianic hope is born in the middle of the darkness, not after it ends.
"A child is born, a son is given" — two verbs, one human and vulnerable, the other divine and generous. He is born like us, and He is given by God for us.
The weight of governing does not rest on a distant crown, but on his own shoulder — carried personally, the way someone bears a real burden and holds it with sufficient strength.
The first name speaks of wisdom that astonishes. When you don't know the next step, this is the name to turn to — the One whose counsel never fails.
A baby called Mighty God. A child called Everlasting Father. Isaiah announces, seven hundred years in advance, the mystery only the New Testament would fully unpack: God made flesh.
Act: write the four names from this verse on paper, and next to each one, hand over to God a specific area of your life that needs exactly that name today.
"He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen." - REVELATION 22:20-21
"On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords." - REVELATION 19:16
"This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666." - REVELATION 13:18
